Measurement Principle of the ViSolid® 700 IQ Sensor
The ViSolid® 700 IQ sensor employs the light scattering principle (forward and backward scattering). Infrared light emitted from the LED source is scattered in various directions upon encountering suspended solids.
Light-receiving detectors are positioned to measure the intensity of the scattered light at these two locations. The intensity of the received light is proportionally correlated with the Total Suspended Solids (TSS) concentration in the sample.
